HOW TO USE THE PREPOSITIONS OF TIME

Definition: A preposition of time is a preposition that allows you to discuss a specific time period such as a date on the calendar, one of the days of the week, or the actual time something takes place. Here's a list of the time words that need “on”, “in”, “at” and some that don't need any preposition. Be careful - many students of English use “on” with months (it should be “in”), or put a preposition before “next” when we don't need one.
AT
Times: at 8pm, at midnight, at 6:30, at noon, at night, at dawn, at the weekend.
Holiday periods: at Christmas, at Easter, at New Year, at Pchum Ben, at Khmer New Year, at Meak Bochea.
Meal + time: at breakfast time, at lunchtime, at dinnertime, supper time. 
ON
Days: on Monday, on Tuesday, on Wednesday, on Thursday, on Friday, on Saturday, on my birthday,
on Christmas Day, on Easter Day, on Wedding Day, on Labor Day, on New Year Day.
Days + part of the day:  on Monday morning, on Monday afternoon, on Monday evening, on Monday night. Dates: on the 20th of June, on May 1st, on January 3­rd

Years: in 1992, in 2006, in 2002, in 2019, in 2020
Months: in January, in February, in March, in April, in May, in June, in July, in August, in September, in October, in November, in  December.
Decades: in the sixties, in the 1790s, in the 1990s
Centuries: in the 19th century, in the 20th, in the 21st century.
Seasons: in spring, in summer, in autumn (fall), in  winter, 
Part of the day: in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening.
